USS Edsall DD219 was mysteriously lost March 1, 1942 with all hands. There were no records recording what happened to the ship, crew and up to forty passengers she had recovered from the sinking of the USS Langley for forty years after the war. Her story was not readily available to the public for another 28 years. Our Mission then was to get a factual, well researched volume published of the crews last battle and to alert the Next Of Kin to the circumstances around the loss of their brothers, fathers and uncles. Thanks to Don Kehn this was accomplished in 2008 in Don's work "Blue Sea of Blood" and through the first version of this website.
Over the years there have been articles about the last battle of the Edsall circulated among mostly the circles and publications for Naval Officers. The first of which was in 1980 in Shipmate magazine. There have been many comments on the fact that decorations are in order for the officers and crew of this ship??
